Kasur: April 22, 2006. Christian woman Naseem Bibi arrested under blasphemy law on accusations of desecration of poster flyer of “ Khana Qaba” the holy stone erected by Prophet Mohammad in city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia and which is worshiped by M

The Muslim protestors against cartoons of Prophet Mohammad being published in western press were burning flag of Norway with Holy Cross in city of Kasur, in March 2006, during wave of widespread protests in Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Naseem Bibi was only one who protested against desecration of Holy Cross. Naseem Bibi is not any human right activist or any leader but being true Christian she faced Muslim protesters and argued on desecration of Holy Cross on Norwegian flag, which was bunt down. For information of our readers, we bring on record that so-called Christian political leaders like Shanbaz Bhatti, Cecil Chowdry and others who have been claiming leadership of Pakistani Christians with support of western donors and human right funding agencies were holding press conferences and declaring no link with western Christians while this simple Christian housewife Naseem Bibi was openly condemning Muslims on desecration of Holy Cross. The Muslim religious leaders of Kasur city wanted to teach lesson to daring Christian warrior Naseem Bibi and lodged a case against her under section 295-B & C PPC of blasphemy laws. Christian human right activist attorney Justin Gill filed bail application of Naseem Bibi in Session Courts of Kasur on which additional session judge Khalid Bashir granted post arrest bail of 50,000 rupees today. Gulzar Masih, husband of Naseem Bibi shall furnish bail bonds to release her from District Jail Kasur in this week. Meanwhile Sharing Life Ministry Pakistan and CLAAS have announced to receive Naseem Bibi from jail gate to provide shelter. Advocate Akhtar Sandhu assisted in court proceeding also.
