The incident of rape happened in a village named Chak No. 110 D.B, Yazman in district Bahawalpur at 9.00 pm on 30 August 2005. Rukhsana was returning visiting her aunty to her home when Nazir Ahmed (Jeera) allegedly kidnapped her at gunpoint and took her to the nearest New Apostolic Church. He entered through broken window of the church where he rapped Rukhsana. On hearing cries for help of victim residents in neighborhood including Manzoor Masih, Hidayat Masih, Allahlok rushed to the Church and saw Nazir Ahmed rapping Rukhsana inside the Church. The accused ran away waving his gun in air but other influential Muslims in village approached the family of Rukhsana to press them not to lodge any report with police. Rukhsana was hospitalized and her medical examination conducted and medico legal report is still awaited from a Multan hospital. The local Pastor Binyamin said that even police was not interested in registering an FIR of case but registered case on September 3, 2005. As Priest Binyamin is witness in this rape case and on hit list of these terrorists. Pastor along with his family is forced to leave the area in fear of life. Meanwhile, Bishop Waris John has appealed to Governor, Chief Minister Punjab and other responsible agencies to take matter seriously urging protection of priest Binyamin and justice to Rukhsana. J.Salik lamented that the relevant agencies in particular and the present government in general have adopted an ostrich in the sand like attitude towards such gory incidents
