Canada. August 26, 2005. The CD Album “ Aman Ki Rah” composed by Rev. Shad in Pakistan on peace poetry of Dr. Stephen Gill was stopped by Pakistan

Postal administration to mail it to Canada. There were no specific reasons laid down by the authorities on refusing the CD Album Parcels. Dr. Stephen Gill now based in Canada is very famous for his English, Urdu and Hindi peace poetry and Ministry of Rev. John Shad composed selected Urdu poems in lyrics. As the news of stopping " Aman Ki Rah" appeared in press the poets, writers, human right activist and intellectuals through out world have been expressing their grave concern. In recent communiqués from other leaders from Pakistan, Norway, USA and India have expressed their views. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, Moderator Asia Peace and Associate Professor in Stockholm University, Sweden, writes to Dr. Gill "This news is really very saddening but no longer shocking: anything can happen in Pakistan. Just see how the Lahore High Court has let go those who raped Mukhtar Bai" Mr. Khalid Hasan, Bureau chief Daily Times, Washington, USA comments "Many of the laws in Pakistan are antiquated... Please tell then to do what the officials ask. An effort should be made in the National Assembly to have the law changed" Honorable Bishop T. Nasir from Pakistan said "I got the news last night through Mr. Nazir Shad. Nothing "Good" is allowed in Pakistan and you are talking of "Peace"? There is no "Peace" in Pakistan and no one understands the real meaning of "Peace". If you talk of "Blood Shed" and Jihad, any thing you say will be accepted here but not "Peace" in a "Mullah" dominated Society" or "Peace on their terms, conditions and interpretations" Dr. Leo Rebello, President, Natural Health Centre, Mumbai and also President, Indian Council of Natural Medicine and Research, India, express his concern
