Bishop Javeed Albert bailed out in Pastor Yaqoob Masih Kidnapping case.

Faisalabad. October 7, 2004. The Judicial Magistrate Faisalabad court shall act on next hearing in a case filed by Pastor Yaqoob Masih on kidnapping charges against Bishop Javeed Albert and seven others.

According to Daily Faisalabad Report newspaper Bishop Albert appeared in court to submit bail documents on September 22, 2004. The said court has issued bail able warrants against Bishop Albert and his accomplices in case of Pastor Yaqoob. In a case filed in court of judicial magistrate Pastor Yaqoob Masih alleged that on 14th April 2004. Bishop Javeed Albert summoned him by force from his office at Sehal House 90-A Mian Colony Faisalabad and threatened him of dire consequences. Bishop Albert also pressured Pastor to hold his ears and stand in sunshine and was beaten with shoes on refusal. Pastor Yaqoob said in his plea that Bishop Albert stopped his congregation from prayer services in a local church and threatened him not to lead any religious rituals. After keeping him in his residence for hours under pressure with support of area police Bishop Albert escorted him to police station where he was tortured and kept under wrongful confinement. He was kept in Batala Colony police station for 6 hours and was released on intervention of some respectable personalities. After this Pastor Yaqoob and his relatives got the case registered against Albert Javaid and other 7 companions but area police hesitated to arrest Bishop Albert.
