The General Secretary of Minority Rights Commission of Pakistan Mr. Joseph Francis said, " Asif Ali Zardari and Javaid Hashmi has been kept in jail because of Political opponence. This is the vivid example of the exploitation of human rights on behalf of Government. The Commission demands from the Government that Asif Ali Zardari and Javaid Hashmibe released immediately. If it is not done then Commission Pakistan will start a campaign in different cities of Pakistan. The Director of Minority Rights Commission of Pakistan Mr. Younas Alam said, " In Pakistan the Government of General Pervaiz Musharaf is just ridiculing the people of country in the name of democracy. Three Prime Ministers have been transferred within two years. The political parties having the roots in the people and the real representatives of the people are being expelled from the political process very brutally. Political leaders are released for the progress of democracy in the country. So that they could perform active role in the democratic function or process. The president of Pakistan Christian National Party said," The minorities of Pakistan condemn the efforts of Government to prevent the political procedure in the country. In this symbolic Hunger Strike, the workers and leaders of A.R.D. also participated whole-heartedly. On the very first day, the General Secretary of Minority Rights Commission Mr. Joseph Francis, Ms, Stella Samson, and the President of Pakistan Christian National Party Mr. Younas Rahi led the camp. While on the other day this Hunger Strike will be led by the Director of Minority Rights Commission of Pakistan Mr. Younas Alam and Ms. Katherine Karamat. It has to be kept in mind that this Hunger Strike camp has been arranges before Lahore Press Club.
