Addressing the rally Micheal Javeed, Ex Member Sindh Assembly and President Balouchistan All Pakistan Minorities Alliance said “we are here to offer prayers to commemorate the sacrifices of our martyrs who became victims of target killings by terrorists’ He added “now we are facing target killing in Pakistan after attacks on our churches, hospitals and schools by the terrorists killing 56 peaceful Christians after US war against terrorism in Afghanistan” Mr. Michael said “our hunger strike today is to press upon government to adopt necessary means to end terrorism against peace loving Christians of Pakistan’ He termed “killing of one individual to be crime against humanity which can not be tolerated in society and demanded safety of Christian in Pakistan” Mr. Saleem Khurshid Khokhar, Ex Member Sindh Assembly and President Sindh All Pakistan Minorities Alliance addressing the protestors said “Christians are under siege in Pakistan and made captive by armed terrorists where security and safety of life and property of Christians is in grave dander” Mr. Khokhar said ‘the government unable to protect peaceful citizen has no right to rule’ He said “Christians are tired to collect corps of their relatives killed by terrorists in Pakistan. We have faced sad incidents of Hydri Masjid and Rimpa Plaza killings of Christians and now new wave of target killing in Karachi has serious threat to lives of Christian leaders” The rally demanded immediate arrest of killers of Martyrs Tariq Javeed, Ishaq Masih, Grocery Robert and Javeed Anjum and justice under law. The demand to pay compensation to the families of victims of target killing was also presented with government of Pakistan. The protestors gathered before Karachi Press club were chanting slogan and carrying banners saying” End terrorism’ “Stop Target killing’ "We demand Security of our leaders’ “Arrest the Killers of Tariq, Ishaq, Gregory and Anjum” The rally attracted hundreds of youth, elders, women and children from Karachi metropolitan was also addressed by prominent Christian leaders Yousaf Gill, Samuel Xavier, Chowdry Boota Masih, and Francis Allarakha and UP Church Moderator B. Phillips.
