The community leaders said “we remained victims of hardliner Muslim groups from decades but now Christian clergyman Bishop Albert is attacking on Christians with support of fundamental Muslims who associated him in August, 1998 in name of Muslim-Christian Peace Council” Mr. Albert started healing crusades in Pakistan in 1981 and formed new denomination “All Evangel covenant church” in Pakistan in 1988. Now he claims to have 42 churches with over 12,000 members throughout country. The 80% of millions dollar yearly budget of his ministry is funded by USA. The interesting part of budget is $ 8,000 to $ 10,000 allocation to each crusade and $ 120,000 on infrastructure. The lavishly expenditures of Mr. Albert Javeed can be viewed by his bishop consecration ceremony in November, 1999 when 5,000 guests were invited including 500 Muslim extremist leaders and ceremony was telecasted with huge payments to government own media in Pakistan. Its on record that Bishop Albert Javeed has appeared on government controlled electronic media saying ‘there is no discrimination in Pakistan against religious minorities”. He also accepted the implementation of blasphemy laws on minorities in Pakistan when its major issue his funds collection from western countries for his ministry. The Cruel character of Bishop Albert is threatening Bishop Dr. William Johnson, Mr. Simon w. Johnson and many other pastors to register against them with support of his Muslim extremist groups under blasphemy laws section 295-C PPC which mandates death for blaspheming Prophet Mohammad. Expressing the Faisalabad Catholic Church Dioceses opinion about Bishop Albert where he is also based, The National Catholic Reporter in a report of August 13, 1999, by Matt Kantz said “Efforts by coworkers of the late Pakistani Bishop John Joseph to keep his mission alive are being complicated by a self-appointed evangelical bishop Albert Javeed, s claims to be heir to that mission. His Episcopal “ordination” ceremony, in an evangelical sect not known to have a hierarchical structure” The Christian community elders said “he is no more a charismatic crusader but a source of violence against Christian community acting like feudal lords” The present controversy among Bishop Albert and Pakistan gospel Assembly failed when armed squad of Bishop Albert opened fire on Mr. Yaser Rao who reached Faisalabad for arbitration on April 22, 2004. The Christian leaders have appealed to the DIG and other government offices to lodge case against Bishop Albert Javeed on assult and firing on Christians. The cancellations of fire arms licenses and ban on traveling of Bishop Albert are also urged.
