PCC condemn firing on brother of human right activist advocate Mushtaq Gill

Karachi: April 1, 2015. (PCP) The Central Executive Council of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC in a press note here today have strongly condemned firing on Mr. Pervaiz Gill by Muslim criminals involved in rape case of Christian girl in Bhai Phero.

Mr. Pervaiz Gill received bullet injury at his back and rushed to a hospital in Lahore where bullet was removed after operation. According to hospital sources, Mr. Pervaiz Gill is in stable condition now. Mr. Pervaiz Gill is elder brother of Mr. Mushtaq Gill Advocate who is Chief of LEAD and awarded with title of Human Right Defender in Pakistan by International forum. According to PCP, Mr. Mushtaq Gill Advocate is providing free legal aid services to one Christian girl who is victim of rape in which Mohammad Bilal alias Babla was accused as rapist. Accused Mohammad Bilal was threatening Mr. Mushtaq Gill Advocate of dire consequences if he not stopped providing legal to Christian victim. As revenge, when Mohammad Bilal saw elder brother of Mushtaq Gill today, he started firing on him from his pistol and fled from scene after seriously injuring him. Police have registered case under Section 324 PPC with FIR number 94/15 in Phool Nagar Police Station against Mohammad Bilal and others but none was arrested up till filing of this story. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has strongly condemned firing on elder brother of Advocate Mushtaq Gill and demanded immediate arrest of culprits involved in injuring Mr. Pervaiz Gill. PCC Chief urged Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to provide security to family members of Mr. Mushtaq Gill Advocate.
