Philadelphia: September 3, 2010. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC appealed to Rev. Terry Jones, Pastor in charge of Dove World Outreach congregation not to hold

“International Burn a Koran Day” on September 11, 2010, because religious minorities in Islamic countries will face its backlash. The situation of religious freedom is already in severe danger in Islamic states where Islamic fundamental elements are attacking Churches, burning holy Bibles, destroying properties and killing Christians on allegations of blasphemy or on comments in Interfaith events by non-Muslims. The attacks on Christians in Pakistan rise when NATO forces invaded Iraq and Afghanistan situation have worsen religious tolerance in South Asia. The Christians in Iraq, Egypt, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan are under immense pressure on life and property threats by fundamental Muslims. The “Burn a Koran Day” in USA will be used an excuse by radical Islamists group in Islamic countries to attack on Christians when it will not prove to be good agitation against fundamental Islamic forces which plead terror or claim just to kill Christians being “infidels” Nazir Bhatti urged Pastor Jones and congregates of WOC in Gainesville, Florida, to condemn terror act of 9/11 with prayers because Christianity is religion of love and peace. The Muslims are not killing Christians but their own Muslim brothers of other sects in Islamic states to impose radical Islam which can endanger world peace and it is foremost duty of every human being weather he is Christian, Hindu, Jew, Buddhist or atheist to block way of such extremists Muslims with slogan of love and peace.
