New York: February 7, 2010. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC clarified that Shahbaz Bhatti, Federal Minister for Minorities is not elected by voters

as member of National Assembly of Pakistan but selected by Pakistan Peoples Party PPP and speaks voice of his Muslim masters. 20 million Pakistani Christians have always demanded repeal of blasphemy law which have been misused by Muslim groups in Pakistan against Christians nor any revision or amendment in controversial law. PCC condemns announcement made by Shahbaz Bhatti in Washington DC on his plans of revision in blasphemy law in year 2010, said Nazir Bhatti It is surprising to note that Shahbaz Bhatti, as Chief of Christian Liberation Front made presentations urging repeal of blasphemy law before US Commission on International Religious Freedom and other International Forums but after selection by Muslims in parliament his priorities have been changed. It is on record that Shahbaz Bhatti in his meetings with Voice of Martyrs, Christian Solidarity Worldwide and other religious organizations in EU and USA sought support to repeal blasphemy law. In Seminars and Press Conferences of Christian Liberation Front. Shahbaz Bhatti claimed to repeal blasphemy law in Pakistan but as Federal Minister he talks to revise not repeal. Nazir Bhatti said “ Shahbaz Bhatti announced in 2009, to revise blasphemy law via parliament in January 2010, but now he extend it to end of this year which creates doubts that he will never present revision legislation ever” “A Catholic Federal Minister who can not ensure justice for housemaid 12 years Christian girl Shazia killed by his Muslim employer how he can be sincere to millions of Pakistani Catholics who have been victims of violence on pretext to blasphemy law” added Nazir S Bhatt Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistan Christian Congress PCC shall file lawsuit in Supreme Court of Pakistan to repeal blasphemy law after fate of proposed revision claims of Shahbaz Bhatti inNational Assembly of Pakistan. “I urge International Media and Websites of Churches not to title Shahbaz Bhatti “A Catholic Christian” or “Representative of Pakistani Christians” because Christians have not elected Shahbaz Bhatti by their votes but he is selected by Muslim political party named Pakistan Peoples Party PPP and imposed on Christians for vested interests” said Nazir Bhatti
