Government denies grade 19 pay scale because she is Christian
Islamabad: September 2, 2009. (PCP report)She is Principal of School of Nursing in Pakistan Institute of Medial Sciences PIMS in Islamabad.
She is serving in this most esteemed institution from last 25 years but her name Bilquees Patras is big hindrance for his entry in Pay Scale of 19 which she deserves.
PIMS is in vicinity of Islamabad and governed by federal government which must allocate grade 19 to Bilquees Patras as per services rule of Pakistan but being Christian her promotion is blocked.
She told PCP that he have mailed many requests to Health Minister and Labour Minister but have not received any response.
The promotion is due for Bilquess Patras from last 8 years but its denied due to her religion while she is serving as Principal from two years.
The administration of PIMS is very conservative, this has been reported to many human right organizations but none has been able to do anything in this regard, still Christians are working hard and fighting for their rights because there are more than one hundred Christians in medical staff.
