Philadelphia: February 3, 2008. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, Chief of Pakistan Christian Congress have expressed grave concern on death threats to Rt. Rev. Michael Nazir Ali on his comments on “no-go areas for non-Muslims”

Nazir S Bhatti said " comments of Bishop Michael Nazir Ali were an important issue of "Christian-Muslim dialogue" and best chance for Muslim religious leaders of UK to make an announcement that there are "welcome areas for non-Muslims" but death threats make it clear that Muslims do not believe in any interfaith dialogues" "UK Christian clergy who expressed anger on Bishop Nazir Ali to harm Christian-Muslim dialogue is a wake up call after death threats that Islam undermines dialogues" said Nazir Bhatti Nazir Bhatti said, "the murder of Dutch filmmaker negated dialogue in Islam and death threat to Bishop are total denial by Muslim leaders" "If any one wants to see true nature of Muslims, he must be born in any Islamic state or stayed for few months in any slum of metropolitan Muslim city where non-Muslims are hated like infidel" added Nazir bhatti Expressing his personal witness, Bhatti said, "I organized open Christian-Muslim dialogues among high profile Pakistani Muslim religious and political leaders on issue of blasphemy laws but it was failure because they assured in public meetings to stop misuse of Islamic laws but next day in Senate and National Assembly stressed strict imposition of sharia laws on minorities" The Church of Pakistan under Archbishop of Canterbury is in difficult situation when Pakistani Bishops are involved in scams and their dozens of cases against each other are pending in higher courts. Now, Christians are looking at Archbishop in Bishop Nazir Ali threats to act immediately to safe Church of England by instructing Anglican clergy to hold on statements of anger on Bishop Nazir Ali to satisfy Muslims in name of Christian Muslim dialogues. It is need of time for UK Muslims to initiate dialogue and argue on comments of Bishop Michael Nazir Ali like moderate Muslims instead of threats. Nazir Bhatti said, "The UK government shall take serious notice of Sharia Courts working in Muslim populated areas which are like mini madrasahs" Mr. Bhatti expressed satisfaction on measures adopted by UK administration for security of Bihop Michael Nazir Ali.
