Chandigarh: July 25, 2017. (PCP) The inaugural function of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sec-26, Chandigarh was held today in Mata Ganga Auditorium, to seek blessings of the almighty for the new session 2017-18. Shabad Kirtan was recited on the occasion by the college students.
The principal, Dr. Charanjeet Kaur Sohi, formally welcomed the freshers’ and elucidated the college motto ‘Shubh Karman Te Kabhun Na Taron’ to the new admitted students. She urged them to follow the path of self-righteousness and never to deviate from the chosen path of truth.
Keeping in view, the declining moral values in the present society, the principal stressed on the need to follow the teachings of the Sikh Gurus in our day to day life. She also highlighted the achievements of the college and motivated the students to strive for excellence in all academic as well as extracurricular activities.
