Hyderabad: March 29, 2017. (PCP) Chairman Sindhi Sangat Sindh Mansoor Khaskheli has said Sindh being deprived of water share, federal government is violating water accord, and water scarcity continuously rising in Sindh, Sindh government should resolve water issue with federation. In an issued statement, central chairman of the Sindhi Sangat Sindh has further said Sindh government has not played their due role to resolve the water issue with Punjab. Presently Sindh is being deprived of its water share, grower, peasants in Sindh are coping difficult situation to save cotton and other summer crops because Sindh is not getting enough water thus agricultural economy will be damaged. Unfortunately, Punjab has been violating water accord since 1945, due to lack of river water, the sea has eroded thousands of acres in Badin and Thatta districts but the federal government has turned a blind eye towards it. Around 122,000 acres of fertile land has so far been eroded by the sea and every day 80 acres are lost to the Arabian Sea. There are predictions Thatta and Sujawal may sink by 2050. Sindhi Sangat Sindh demands Sindh government should resolve water issue with federation.
