New Delhi: February 25, 2017. (PCP) Prof.Bhim Singh, Sr.Advocate of Supreme Court and Executive Chairman (Hony.) of State Legal Aid Committee, J&K has expressed deep shock on the belated and anti-national statements vis-à-vis the situation in J&K which appeared in the national press this morning. Farooq Abdullah came out openly in support of militancy in Kashmir whereas P. Chidambaram, ex-Union Minister, Govt. of India had a made a forecast saying that, “Kashmir is sleeping out of India’s hand”. The NPP Supremo reminded all those who are playing in the hands of foreign agencies, directly or indirectly to promote the process of disintegration of the great Union of India. Prof. Bhim Singh said USSR disintegrated because of the weak links of the Russian leadership and not because of the people. The foreign agencies have become more active than they were before the election of the new USA President, Mr. Donald Trump. Prof.Bhim Singh said that people of J&K stood for India and defeated the Pakistani raiders in 1947 persuading the Maharaja of J&K, Maharaja Hari Singh to sign the Instrument of Accession which he did on 26th October, 1947. Prof.Bhim Singh expressed surprise that the Instrument of Accession signed by Maharaja Hari Singh has not been promulgated/implemented till this day which is apparent from record. He said that Parliament of India has a great responsibility to fill in the gap and approve the merger document in which Maharaja of J&K had offered for the merger of J&K with the rest of the country. Prof.Bhim Singh called on the leadership of India and from other sensitive areas like J&K to think before they speak to attract media attention for their cheap publicity in the media. Prof.Bhim Singh said that it will be too harsh to accuse pass a judgment against the conduct and credibility of those who once were the partners in the governance in India or governed the State of J&K for decades. Prof.Bhim Singh warned this outdated leadership to beware that the new generation with new thinking is awakened lest they face such opportunist leaders on the streets. He said that one Flag from Kashmir to Kanyakumari with one Constitution assuring all fundamental rights to the residents of J&K shall have to be mandatory for all in the interest of national unity and integration.
