Karachi: October 22, 2016. (PCP) Sindh Rangers arrested four leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement MQM from vicinity of Karachi Press Club where they have announced to hold press conference to welcome other leaders who recently joined MQM. According to live media coverage, Professor Hassan Zafar, member of MQM Rabita Committee was arrested when sitting on motorbike in front of Karachi Press Club before entering in KPC to address press conference. The Rangers personnel ordered him to come with them without showing any court orders and took him to undisclosed location. MQM leaders Amjadullah Khan, Zafar Rajput and Kunwar Khalid Younus were also picked up by Rangers from Karachi Press Club. The MQM invited law enforcement agencies to conduct operation in Karachi on increasing terror activities of Tehreek Talban Pakistan TTP and other banned outfits but Pakistan establishment turned Karachi Operation against MQM; it was blamed that MQM is funded by Indian Intelligence Agency RAW and its activists were trained in India. The mass arrests of MQM workers and leaders were arrested by Rangers and Police on charges of target killing and extortion in Karachi. MQM accuses Rangers of torture and extrajudicial killing of his workers in custody and not producing them before any court of law for years. Under National Action Plan, approved by All Parties Conference to allow Rangers to keep any suspect for 90 days in custody after producing him before competent courts but such was denied in hundreds of arrests of MQM activists. Today anti-terrorism court in Karachi freed three activists arrested on charges of training by RAW on having no evidence which express that how RAW is used to victimize MQM workers. The recent arrests of four MQM leaders by Sindh Rangers is clear to reach conclusion that Pakistan establishment plans to end MQM of divide it in different factions to reduce its public power.
