Hyderabad: October 3, 2016. (PCP) Central chairman of the Sindhi Sangat Sindh Mansoor Khaskheli has shown deep concerns on the rapidly growing ratio of child labour in Sindh, Pakistan and said it is highly condemnable that in Pakistan any government has not conducted any child labour survey in 20 years it also expose the apathy of government.
In an issued statement, central chairman of the Sindhi Sangat Sindh Mansoor Khaskheli has said that In Pakistan, 25 million children are not going to school out of which 15 million are earning for their families through various forms of manual labour.
Most of the school-age children are engaged in child labour in Sindh, Pakistan. Children aged five to 15 are being engaged in agriculture, garage, hotels, manufacturing and selling of bangles, as well as being employed in cement and other factories. Sindh contributes 70 per cent to the federal kitty but doesn’t get its share of the federal pool, an estimated 70 per cent of the Sindh’s population lives below the poverty line. Sindh is being discriminated by federation. Child labour is crime against humanity. Sindhi Sangat Sindh demands that government take immediate steps to end child labour in Sindh, Pakistan.
