Chandigarh: August 26, 2016. (PCP) Environment Society and NSS volunteers of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh, organized an event called “Plantation Drive” on 26th August 2016 to teach the importance of tree plantation to save the nature for future. The saplings were donated by the Lions Club Chandigarh. Over 40 saplings were planted in the college campus. Guests for the day were Prof. Bikram Singh Rana, SLO, NSS and A K Aggarwal President, Lions Club.
Respected Principal of the college Dr. (Mrs.) Charanjeet Kaur Sohi, addressed the students and filled the Go Green atmosphere with the feeling of “Each One Teach One to Plant One”. All the students participated with enthusiasm and fervor to make the event a great success.
