Chandigarh: August 6, 2016. (PCP) The Teej festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 Chandigarh on August 06, 2016.
The gala event included Miss Teej competition followed by Mehandi, Phulkari Design Competition and Parandi tying competition.
The swing ropes in the college ground were decorated with flowers and students danced to the tunes of Punjabi Music. Traditional delicacies like Kheer Poora were also served to add to the feel of this wonderful occasion. The girls thronged around bangles’ stall in excitement.
The Principal, Dr. Charanjeet Kaur Sohi was given a graceful welcome in a traditional style by college students. She added dazzle to the celebration with her active participation.
