(PCP) Sindhi Nari Sangat Sindh protested in Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad Khan against growing religious extremism, honour killings (Karo-Kari), forced religious conversion of Sindhi Hindu girls, violence against women in Sindh, Pakistan Responding protest call had given by the central Chairmen of Sindhi Sangat Sindh Mansoor Khaskheli, Sindhi Nari Sangat Sindh protested against growing religious extremism, honour killings (Karo-Kari), forced religious conversion of Sindhi Hindu girls, violence against women in Sindh, Pakistan. Protest rallies were held in Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Tando Mohammad Khan and activists of Sindhi Nari Sangat Sindh chanted slogans against the atrocities violence against women, violation of human rights in Sindh, Pakistan. Addressing the crowed activists of Sindhi Nari Sangat Sindh Farzan Shah, Hina Sindhi, Dharno Thakur, Shumaila Ronjho and others said Sindh has been the land of Sufism and Secularism, and the essence of Sufi mystical is anchored in the soul of Sindh for centuries, growing religious extremism is attack on Sufi, Secular identification of Sindh. Murders of Sindhi women in the name of Karo-Kari are rapidly increasing in Sindh, Pakistan. Honour killing is heinous crime against humanity. According to the statistics from the Human Rights organizations 1096 women were brutally killed in the name of Honour Killing, more than 300 cases of Domestic Violence and 70 to 80% women were the victims of mentally and physically violence in Pakistan in 2015. 1,005 honor killings were reported in Pakistan in 2014, with the victims including 923 women and 82 minor girls, compared to the 869 cases in 2013. Sindhi women are being victimized. Sindhi Hindu girls are the victims of forced religious conversion. Every year several cases of forced religious conversions reported in Sindh, Pakistan. But in the most cases culprits often go unpunished therefore such incidents are continuously increasing. How many more daughters of Sindh will be kidnapped and become the victims of forced religious conversion. Activists of Sindhi Nari Sangat Sindh further said women are worst victim of unfortunately women in Pakistan are being deprived of their basic rights, they are victims of domestic violence and have been denied their due social, economic, political and financial rights. It is a crime against humanity that women in Pakistan are shut up within the four walls of the houses as prisoners. Sindhi Nari Sangat Sindh demanded federal and provincial governments immediately takes step to stop growing religious extremism in Sindh, activists of Sindhi Nari Sangat Sindh further demands protection of minorities, kidnapped daughters of Sindh should be released immediately, government should form new law to protect women, atrocities against women in Sindh, Pakistan must be stopped.
