New Delhi: May 11, 2016. (PCP) Hundreds of Panthers Party activists held a strong protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar, the Hyde Park Corner of India at 5.00 p.m. this afternoon condemning BJP government in J&K to stop by force the Tiranga flag march by J&K National Panthers Party on 7th May, 2016. JKNPP had launched Tiranga Yatra from Lal Qila (Red Fort) to Lal Chowk (Srinagar) from 5th May, 2016 under the leadership of Panthers Party Chairman, Shri Harsh Dev Singh and its President, Shri Balwant Singh Mankotia with a clear message that India is one from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and the party shall not allow any discrimination with the citizens of India anywhere in the country. The yatra with about 500 Panthers Party activists were stopped at Patnitop (bordering Districts of Udhampur and Doda) on 7th May, 2016. The Panthers Party leaders with their active participants were taken into custody, assaulted and forced to sign bail bonds. This matter was brought to the attention of Shri Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister. Prof.Bhim Singh called it a greatest tragedy that a party founded by one of the greatest nationalist leaders Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee founded Jan Sangh which has now been renamed as Bharatiya Janata Party has joined hands with anti-national forces in J&K and have sold out the basics of nationalism to the enemies of the country. The Panthers Party called on the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee for his urgent intervention to allow free movement of the Indian citizens from any part of India to any part of J&K which is a fundamental right of every citizen of India irrespective of his place of birth or place of residence from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Nagaland to Dwarka. Prof.Bhim Singh that Panthers Party has decided to file a criminal petition against BJP-PDP government of J&K for causing harassment and torture to the citizens of India and putting illegal ban on the movement of the citizens of India in J&K. This action of the Govt. of J&K is highly deplorable, condemnable and criminal in law which deserves to be condemned by every citizen of this country as well as the political parties and the society as a whole. These were the strong views expressed by Prof.Bhim Singh while addressing the Panthers Party activists at Jantar Mantar this evening. The Panthers Party activists also burnt the effigy of the BJP government at the Centre and demanded immediate dismissal of J&K government so that fresh election shall be held so that people shall be able to elect a government of their voice with one mission---India is one from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Among the participants several senior Panthers Party leaders participated in the demonstration including Rajiv Jolly Khosla, Romesh Khajuria, Dildar Hussain Beg, Ajay Raj, Ajit Singh, A.J. Rajan, Vinay Kumar, Shyam Sunder Sharma, Mehfooz Khan, Swaran Singh Yadav, Mrs. Nancy Koul, Leader, Kashmiri Migrants, Ms. Geeta Sahani, Anil Sharma, Kali Ram Tomar, President, Bharatiya Samata Samaj, Sushil Khanna, Convenor, Bhim Brigade, Vijay Koul, K.K. Raghav, Krishan Mohan Bhardwaj and others.
