Hyderabad: April 6, 2016. (PCP) Central Chairman of the Sindhi Sangat Sindh Mansoor Khaskheli has said honour killing is a heinous crime against humanity, Sindhi Sangat Sindh strongly condemned killing of Sindhi women in the name of Karo-kari (honour killings) in Sindh, Pakistan.
In an issued press release on Tuesday, Central Chairman of the Sindhi Sangat Sindh Mansoor Khaskheli has said murders of Sindhi women in the name of Karo-Kari (honour killing) are rapidly increasing in Sindh, Pakistan. According to the statistics from the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, 1,005 honor killings were reported in Pakistan in 2014, with the victims including 923 women and 82 minor girls, compared to the 869 cases in 2013 cited in the commission's 2013 report. Chairman Sindhi Sangat Sindh Mansoor Khaskheli has further said that recently in Jacobabad newly wedded bride Khanzadi Lashari was killed by her husband on the first night of wedding for not being a virgin, which is a very painful incident. Sindhi women are the worst victims of domestic violence; Sindhi women are deprived of their basic rights. Sindhi Hindu girls are the victims of forced religious conversion in Sindh, Pakistan. Every year several cases of forced religious conversions reported in Sindh, Pakistan. Sindhi Sangat Sindh demands suspects involved in such crime must be punished, Government takes immediate steps to stop increasing crime of Karo-Kari (honour killing) in Sindh, Pakistan.
