Father comes to faith through daughters' witness

Iran: March 20, 2016. (PCP) As a very devout Muslim, Kambiz was a well-respected figure in the local mosque in Iran. But he had a secret source of shame: his two daughters Solmaz and Farnaz. They had moved to a nearby country and had become Christians. Whenever Kambiz spoke with his daughters on the phone they would share their faith with him and it would descend into an argument. He would yell and swear at them. He wanted nothing to do with their Jesus. But early in 2016, Kambiz’s wife persuaded him to go visit their daughters for a short holiday. To Kambiz’s great dismay, his wife came to faith during that holiday through the witness of Solmaz and Farnaz. He was fuming as he returned home to Iran. He told Solmaz and Farnaz he never wanted to see or hear from them again: he no longer had any daughters. Farnaz and Solmaz, however, refused to give up. They would call home every day to show love to their dad. Over time their love and the words of Christ that they shared softened his heart. Kambiz began to absorb the teaching of the Christian TV programs that his wife now loved to watch. Then one day, there was beautiful news: Kambiz submitted his life to Christ. Now the whole family joins together for daily devotions over the phone. During the Persian New Year (Norouz) holidays, many Iranians who are cold to the Gospel will visit Christian family members who live outside Iran. Just like Kambiz did. It is a wonderful opportunity for families to hear the good news. http://www.elam.com/Iran30/father-comes-faith-through-daughters-witness
