IT FIESTA 2016 at GGSCW-26

Chandigarh: February 19, 2016. (PCP) IT Fiesta 2016 was organized by Post Graduate Department of Computer Science and Applications of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women Sector-26, Chandigarh in association with DST(Department of Science and technology), Chandigarh Administration, Chandigarh to promote awareness of science and technology amongst the youth. Students from 20 Colleges from in and around the city participated in this event. Various competitions were held under this event related to IT like Website Designing, Software Development, and Debugging. Students demonstrated their talent in Debate, IT Skit, Cartooning, Collage making on the key topics related to Digital India, Internet Life, Go Green etc. IT Quiz was organized in association with Lakshya. Tech Dance was held to embrace the fusion between Technology and Entertainment. Mr. Santosh Kumar, Director DST (Department of Science and Technology) was the Chief Guest. He motivated students to use eco-friendly energy measures and focused on the development of this technological field. S. Gurdev Singh, President, Sikh Educational Society, Col. S. Jasmer Singh Bala, Secretary, SES also graced the event with their presence. They congratulated College and Department for organizing such an Event and stressed on the importance of such competitions which enhance personality of students. S. Kulbir Singh, Vice President, Sikh Educational Society were there to inspire students during the valedictory ceremony and gave away the prizes. College Principal appreciated the efforts of Computer Department and encouraged students to participate in such events to excel in all fields of life.
