PFUJ condemn killing of journalists

Pakistan: January 20, 2016. (PCP) The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists strongly condemn the killing of two journalists one in Dera Ismail Khan and the other in Tribal areas and demand the government to arrest the killers while provide security to the working journalists. Mehboob Shah Afridi from FATA Khyber Agency his life in Khyber Agency Jamrud blast. He was president of Khyber Unite Journalist and EX-General Sectary of Tribal union of Journalists. The PFUJ understands that the New Year is yet another year of miseries in the world for working journalists and despite repeated protests and demands to the government. the menace of the terrorism is not under control while the government has failed to provide the security to working journalists. President PFUJ Rana Muhammad Azeem and Secretary General Amin Yousuf have condemned the non-state actors responsible for the killings and demand the government to investigate and put the culprits behind the bars. The PFUJ also demands financial support of the families of the martyred journalists so that their vows could be minimized According to the details received, unidentified gunmen shot dead a journalist Muhammad Umar in Dera on Saturday. According to the local police, the gunmen opened fire on Muhammad Omar near Niazi Chowk. They said that Muhammad Omar sustained critical injuries in the attack. He was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. while an other journalist.
