Hindu MNA participated in Christmas and Eid Milad-ul-Nabi celebrations

Islamabad/Karachi: December 24, 2015. (PCP) Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has termed the marking of Eid Milad-ul Nabi and Christmas together as positive sign for the peace and prosperity. Addressing as Chief Guest during the Annual Christmas Celebration, he emphasized to support the Operation Zarb-e-Azb and Rangers Operations in Karachi to ensure peace across the country. Renowned Bishop Kaleem John and other religious leaders were also present on the occasion. “Teachings of all religions asked their followers to respect other religions,” Dr. Rameh said, while terming this essential key element to establish a peaceful society. Dr. Ramesh, who is also popular among all religious elements for his efforts to promote interfaith harmony, urged for participation in other religious festivals, saying that doors of Hindu festivals, organized by Pakistan Hindu Council, are always open to all, either they are Hindu, Muslim or Christian. He said that the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam in his August 11 speech, ensured to provide full freedom to the minorities and in this regard, the Constitution of Pakistan also protects the same. Dr. Ramesh also paid rich tribute to the soldiers of Pak Army for the Operation Zarb-Azb and Karachi Rangers Operation. The participants offered special prayer for the prosperity while symbol of peace “dove” were also let to fly freely in the skies.
