Media and concerned world citizens have started talking again about nuclear bombs and the next world war. I have written some poems on this issue, particularly about the third world war, in my articles and novels, including The Coexistence. This is the time to write something on this serious issue once more:
A QUESTION
Stephen Gill (Indo/Canadian poet)
If the nuclear bombs drop
Will the buds bloom again?
Will the birds chirp again?
Will the spring return again?
If the nuclear bombs drop
Will maidens be wedded again?
Will love's moon arise again?
Will rains kiss the earth again?
If the nuclear bombs drop
Will the dawn be born again?
Will the players play again?
Will the children swim again?
If the nuclear bombs drop
Will God save aught?
Who will cry, who'll laugh?
Will not all be lost?
