Jallianwala Massacre: NPP homage to Jallainwala martyrs urge Union to award Bharat Ratana to all martyrs
New Delhi: Celebrating Baisakhi festival today the J&K National Panthers Party activists held a meeting at Jammu to pay homage to more than 400 Indians who were massacre by the British Army at Jallianwala Bagh led by Brigadier General Reginald Dwyer 101 years back. They also paid tributes to Sardar Udham Singh who shot dead General Dwyer in Caxton Hall in Westminster, London on this day in 1940.
Baisakhi is celebrated as one of the decorated day in India. In addition this day has an Independent identity because Sardar Udham Singh sent back message to the Indian people from the Caxton Hall that India shall achieve its freedom from the British Rule at every cost. Panthers Party urged the President of India to include the names of Satyapal and Saifuddin Kitchlew among martyrs who were arrested and deported for organizing protest on 13th April, 1919 at Jallianwala.
Prof. Bhim Singh with his associates Mr. Sanjoy Sachdev, President Delhi Pradesh Panthers Party, Mr. Faqir Nath former MLA Panthers Party from Chenani, Mr. Harsh Malhotra, Secretary-General Delhi Pradesh Panthers Party, Mr. S.N. Chandola, President Uttarakhand Panthers Party, Mr. Gurinder Sood, President Punjab National Panthers Party amd Mrs. Sudesh Dogra visited Jallianwala Bagh in 2000 during Rashtriya Chetna Abhiyan. The Panthers Party activists paid tributes to the martyrs on 13th April, 2000 at Jallianwala.
Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron NPP extended online greetings to all the State and District Party leaders on Baisakhi and conveyed the message left by the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh massacre that freedom is the birth right of every Indian as the Constitution of India in Article 21 assures that life and liberty is the basic right of every Indian and nobody can be deprived of their right. Jallianwala massacre left a great message for all freedom fighters all over the world. During his London University days Prof. Bhim Singh wrote that majority of the British Students condemn the Jallianwala massacre.
NPP Supremo urged the Parliament of India to take up this cause that life, contributions and sacrifices of all martyrs who actively participated in the freedom movement should be compiled in School Text Books and include in the Syllabus all over the country.
