Residents in rural areas of Jammu province deserve immediate attention of the Govt.

New Delhi:  Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of J&K National Panthers Party & Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee, J&K urged the Prime Minister of India to hold urgent meeting, may be online, urgently with the recognized state parties as well as Panchayat representatives in Jammu & Kashmir to find out the difficulties of the residents of Jammu province they have been facing particularly because of failure of Administration.

There is no ration supply in the villages and the residents have not been provided ration for three months in rural Jammu.

The Govt. Dispensaries are short of medicines because of Lockdown as supply of medicines has not been supplied due to transport disconnection.

The village Panchayats deserve commendation as they have been working for the people in the Panchayat areas.

The Anganwadi Centers in entire Jammu province have no more ration available in the ration shops and no more nutrition available in the dispensaries.

Lt. Governor should take initiative for the urgent release of all 400 detenues lodged in different jails, hotels or in the residence of the prisoners. The prisoners detained under J&K PSA have been under illegal detention. A writ petition filed by Prof. Bhim Singh himself was listed for hearing today which could not be heard because of the closure of the Supreme Court under the situation created in Delhi also due to Lockdown.

It is shocking that a former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has been shifted from a prison to her house as house itself has been converted to a sub-jail. Such things never happened even when J&K was ruled by the Maharajas till 1947.

The Lt. Governor should release all detenues detained since 5th August, 2019.

Nutrition diet should be supplied for each block centre. This nutrition diet has also been stopped to the children which was provided by the Govt. to each block. There are 700 Anganwandi Centers in Chanunta Block only.

The village Panchayats should be involved actively in the process of rebuilding the morale of the people and providing the genuine facilities they were entitled to before the Lockdown.

All the prisoners/under trial should be released on bail who are involved in minor cases.

All the political parties, at least, recognized political parties in J&K should be taken into confidence to involve them in the process of rebuilding the residents of the rural areas and providing them all genuine facilities they are entitled to under the present circumstances.
