Chandigarh: February 9, 2019. (PCP) The campus of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh resounded with a melodious rendition of Gurbani Kirtan as the students and staff celebrated the College Sthapana Day.
The three-day event marked the commemoration of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and the celebration of the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Kirtan was performed by Hazoori Raagi Bhai Sukhwant Singh Ji (Sri Darbaar Sahib) and by Bhai Inderpal Singh Ji (Chandigarh Wale). Gurmat Vichar were delivered by Singh Sahib Giani Jaswant Singh Ji, who expounded the tenets of Sikhism.
S. Gurdev Singh, President, S.E.S and S. Col.(Retd.) J.S. Bala, Secretary, S.E.S. graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur, along with the staff and students in successfully organizing the function.
The programme culminated with Guru ka Langar prepared and served by the students and staff members of the college.
