Hamas Declares Resignation of Israeli Defence Minister as its Victory
Gaza: November 14, 2018. (PCP) In a press release Hamas leader Sami Abu Zohri said Israel Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman's resignation is an "admission of defeat and a political triumph for the Palestinian people."
Abu Zohri confirmed Lieberman's resignation came amid the political turmoil the Israeli occupation is experiencing.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli War Minister announced that he resigns as a war minister due to the cabinet's decision to accept a ceasefire ending two days of fighting with Palestinian militants in Gaza. Lieberman denounced the move as "surrendering to terror". Lieberman's resignation came after two days of Israel and Hamas clashes that left 14 Palestinians and 1 Israeli killed and 29 others wounded. Some analysts in Israel see this move by Mr Lieberman as signs of early elections. Tamar Yonah host at Israel News Talk Radio said it looks like we may be going to new elections.
