Islamabad: September 7, 2018. (PCP) The British Prime Minister's Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Gareth Bayley, has visited Islamabad and Peshawar for a series of meetings with the Pakistani government.
During his visit – his second this year – Mr Bayley reaffirmed the UK's commitment to regional peace and security. While in Islamabad, Mr Bayley made calls on government including the Foreign Secretary, Secretary SAFRON, the Interior Secretary, senior commentators and members of the diplomatic corps. Throughout these discussions Mr Bayley highlighted the important role that Pakistan can play in ensuring regional security.
During his visit, he also spoke at the Foreign Service Academy and visited Peshawar where he met Ministers of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, the Governor of KP and other senior officials. He also visited the Bishop of Peshawar, and a Government girls' school.
