The Key to Strong Faith. By Dr. Emanuel Adil Ghouri
I am grateful to God for giving me the opportunity to bring the gospel message of international writers with deep theological understanding to Pakistani Christians.
While translating the book under review—a high‑quality work by the intelligent and authoritative author Teena Myers—I have noticed how skillfully she conveys the mysteries and symbols of faith with conciseness, simplicity, and reasoned explanation.
An intellectual writes about this book: “The mysteries of faith unravel the knots of belief. It equips the reader with courage, understanding, insight, and confidence. This book opens the door that helps you move forward.”
I believe every chapter of this book is filled with knowledge and wisdom that strengthens weak faith. In my opinion, this book is a key to strong faith—one that opens the closed doors of the heart and mind, making the reader’s faith stronger. This book is equally useful not only for the general reader but also for scholars with extensive knowledge of religious sciences.
From this book we learn that God is true to His promises and able to fulfill our desires. As humans, we often turn to God simply because He has the power to grant what we want, and we assume we can please Him by going to church, fasting, or participating in spiritual gatherings so that He will fulfill our desires. When our desires are not fulfilled—or are delayed—we become disappointed in God and sometimes change our course.
This struggle is not limited to ordinary people. Even believers who lived close to God and spoke with Him—Abraham, Sarah, Jeremiah, and Lot—were shaken in their faith. They too were discouraged by the delay in the fulfillment of God’s promises. But God fulfilled His promises in His own time. He did not judge the weakness of their intentions; He simply kept His word.
Today, we also need to emerge from the darkness of despair and turn to God with complete confidence—not to achieve our goals, but to receive the love of Jesus.
Our God is the God of the impossible. He never disappoints us. But the only way to be included in God’s blessings is to adopt the faith God taught Abraham, imitate the obedience Abraham demonstrated, and believe that there is no disappointment in God’s promises—only hope.
Finally, I pray that God will give the author of this book, Teena Myers, the courage to write many more faith‑inspiring books
