A few days ago, I came across a piece of news regarding Rawalpindi and Islamabad that immediately caught my attention. The news is very unique and hopeful that a joint meeting of various Christian political, social, religious organizations and personalities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad was held with the tireless efforts of Imran Shahzad Sahotra and Michael Rose Advocate, in which it was decided by mutual consent that a joint Christian candidate would be brought for the post of Deputy Mayor in the local government elections expected in this  year.Apparently this task seems very difficult but it is not impossible. It only requires hard work, unity and true nationalism because it has often been seen that the mercury of our nationalism is high in the meetings.But by attending political meetings of other nations, we often succumb to the pressure of the majority community and our nationalism becomes cold.Whatever happens, the intention of the Christians of Rawalpindi and Islamabad is worthy of imitation and, in my opinion, is a first positive political step.We have many union councilors on record where the number of Christian voters can play a decisive role in winning or losing. If we contest the election for Vice Chairman as part of a strong panel, we can be sure of success. And similarly, along with the minority seat, we can also succeed on the general seat. The only condition is that we do not lack true unity. The matter is not limited to the local body elections. If this spirit continues, we can also clearly influence the national and provincial assembly seats in the general elections. There are 50 constituencies of the National Assembly across the country in which the number of Christian voters is between 40,000 and 50,000. In these constituencies, Christian voters can play a decisive role in the victory or defeat of the National Assembly candidates. In these constituencies, we can also demand tickets for the general seat of the provincial assembly because of our vast vote bank, political parties can acknowledge our demand. In Pakistani politics, we have seen that while distributing tickets, the vote bank of communities is taken into account, such as Sheikh Butt, Malik Arain, and Gujjar communities. To my knowledge, none of these communities has 40 to 50 thousand votes. Despite having such a large vote bank, we do not have the political importance that they have.  There is only one reason for this, that they are united in one leadership, while we do not agree in any way, and every other of our leaders, in the cycle of becoming MNAs and MPAs, is sitting as a representative of their nation at the camp of Khawaja Sahib Butt, Malik Sahib and Mian Sahib. He is buying slavery for himself by showing our strength. Then these same people become our selected representatives by pledging their tongue and conscience.For our political survival, we have to get out of this role, we have to rebel against this system, we have to break the barriers of our ego, we have to recognize each other's status, not just in Rawalpindi, but at the national level. Christians need unity.In this regard, some friends are trying to form a national-level representative coalition comprising all Christian parties that would have the ability to influence government decisions. I personally believe that this is really needed. We have hundreds of parties and hundreds of leaders, but until now we have not been able to raise a strong voice against the oppression and injustices being perpetrated against us.Till today, we have not been able to block D-Chowk or Mall Road, no one has been able to hold a sit-in of 10,000 people. In 78 years, we have only suffered oppression. Due to the lack of real leadership, we have failed miserably in the field of politics.  It would not be wrong to say that we do not have a national party or a national leader, but in every city we have many Christian leaders who have their own parties. A national alliance should be formed comprising all these parties through which the battle for our political survival and rights can be fought in an organized manner so that future generations do not call our decisions wrong
