In the February 2 post of Prez Trump four points are highlighted by POTUS (i)- India agreed to stop buying Russian oil (ii)- India to reduce its tariff & non-tarrif barriers against the USA to Zero (iii)- Indian imports from the USA to go at a higher level of $ 500 billion (which is bound to eliminate trade deficit of USA with India) and (iv)- Reduced reciprocal tariff from 25 to 18 % as reported at https://www.moneycontrol.com/world/trump-announces-tariff-reduction-for-india-lowers-rate-from-25-to-18-after-phone-call-with-pm-modi-article-13806687.html .

This trade deal is yet to be put in writing and a joint statement from the USA & India is yet to come about this trade deal and it is highly likely that India will not agree to include the said first three points in the formal written trade deal to be signed.
In such scenario it is certain that India would say that in Feb 2 phone conversation PM Modi never agreed with Prez Trump about the said first three points and what Prez Trump is saying in his Feb 2 post is untrue about these first three points. India has already started this process. The MEA of India is saying that what PrezTump said about first point the stoppage of imports of Russian oil is untrue and PM Modi didn’t make such promise as reported at https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/mea-rejects-trumps-claim-that-india-agreed-to-stop-russian-oil-purchase-not-aware-of-any-conversation-101760615478229.html . Regarding other two points India will do the same most probably just before or after farmer’s strike on February 12 https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/andhra-pradesh/nationwide-general-strike-on-february-12-against-anti-worker-anti-farmer-policies/article70591534.ece .
In the case of such denial by India / PM Modi about the said first three points of alleged trade deal , Prez TRump has no other choice than to releases the audio recording of Feb 2 phone conversation between POTUS and PM Modi about trade deal, especially the portion of the conversation in which PM Modi agreed about the said first three points of trade deal so that the credibility of POTUS & the interests of the USA, remains intact & Secured.
The chances of preserving such audio recording are very high because once bitten twice shy.Under domestic pressure India earlier said that Prez TRump’s claim about ensuring ceasefire between India and Pakistan during operation Sindoor was untrue as https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/halted-op-sindoor-after-pak-pleaded-us-played-no-role-in-truce-pm-modi-to-trump-during-35-minute-call-2742393-2025-06-18 . Hence TRump administration knows that under domestic pressure [which US Diplomats / officers in India (US- Embassy Consulates & office at New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru) must have told to White House if they are doing their job properly of at least protecting if not furthering the interests of the USA in India] government of India would say that what Prez Trump in his Feb 2 post is saying is untrue and PM Modi never agreed with POTUS about the said first three points of the alleged Feb 2 trade deal to be signed.
With the release of such audio recording which has potential of nailing the bluff of Modi government, Prez TRump would obviously expect India to sign the trade deal which will include the said first three points of the alleged Feb 2 trade deal as it is immensely beneficial to the USA as per TRump administration as https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/economy/foreign-trade/trump-aide-claims-deal-would-pump-american-farm-goods-in-india/articleshow/127875750.cms (which will be almost a political suicide for Modi government especially due to stong backlash from farmers who constitute two third of 1.4 Billion population of India, the largest democracy of the world with constitutionally guaranteed fundamental right of freedom of expression including protests & demonstrations.).
