Sardar Mushtaq Gill Praises Global Peace-Building Efforts, Urges Immediate Action for Persecuted Christians Worldwide

Sardar Mushtaq Gill, the founder of LEAD Ministries Pakistan, has praised global efforts to promote peace, particularly in regions like Ukraine and Gaza, where communities continue to endure the devastating consequences of conflict. Gill emphasized that these peace-building initiatives align with core Christian values of compassion, justice, and the pursuit of peace, and that the international community must continue to support those affected by war and violence.

In a recent statement, Gill acknowledged that peace-building efforts go beyond diplomatic measures, embodying the moral teachings of Christ. He expressed his admiration for initiatives that offer hope and relief to innocent civilians caught in the crossfire of war, providing a lifeline to those in desperate need.

“The efforts made to bring peace to regions like Ukraine and Gaza reflect the spirit of Christian values, which prioritize peace, love, and respect for the dignity of all human beings,” said Gill.

However, Gill also turned his attention to the urgent and often overlooked plight of persecuted Christians worldwide. He called for a concerted focus on ensuring the safety and well-being of Christian communities, particularly in regions where they face extreme persecution—such as in parts of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. These communities continue to suffer violence, discrimination, and displacement simply because of their faith.

“In countries where Christians are targeted for their beliefs, the challenges are dire. Many of our brothers and sisters in Christ face imprisonment, violence, forced conversion, and even death for daring to follow their faith,” said Gill. “We cannot remain silent in the face of such injustice. The suffering of persecuted Christians must be addressed with urgency. The global community, including religious and political leaders, must take a stand for their protection and the promotion of their right to worship freely.”

Gill further called for greater international action, urging that governments and organizations focus not only on the immediate humanitarian needs of persecuted Christians but also on long-term solutions that will ensure their safety and religious freedom. He emphasized that Christians, like all people, deserve the right to practice their faith without fear of violence or oppression.

“As Christians, we are called to stand alongside our brothers and sisters who face unimaginable hardship for their faith. We must amplify their voices and advocate for their right to live and worship freely, without the threat of persecution hanging over them,” Gill stated. “These Christian communities need support from global leaders and institutions that are committed to justice, peace, and religious freedom.”

The appeal comes at a time when religious persecution remains a critical global issue, with millions of Christians facing displacement, violence, and forced exile from their homes in countries such as Syria, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, and Pakistan. Many of these Christians are fleeing their homes in fear of their lives, facing violence from extremist groups, and enduring systemic discrimination in countries where they are a minority. Gill’s call reflects the ongoing efforts of LEAD Ministries to advocate for religious freedom, protection, and assistance for vulnerable Christian communities.

In his closing remarks, Gill expressed hope that the international community would not only continue to prioritize peace-building efforts in conflict zones but also turn their attention to the grave issue of religious persecution, ensuring that no community is left to suffer in silence.

“As we look to the future, let us remember that peace and justice are not mere political goals—they are moral imperatives. We must work together to ensure that persecuted Christians are not forgotten and that their right to live freely according to their faith is safeguarded for generations to come,” said Gill.

The statement is a call for global solidarity, urging leaders to take immediate action in support of persecuted communities and to uphold the values of peace, justice, and human dignity that are central to the Christian faith.
