The leader of the free world, the USA can’t win cold war- II against “authoritarian Chinese democracy” if it doesn't protect democracy in developing countries. of Asia
The unexpected impressive victory of Imran Khan’s party PTI supported independent candidates in National Assembly elections 2024 in Pakistan has surprised every one as mentioned also at https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/army-backed-nawaz-sharif-fails-to-win-pakistan-election-what-went-wrong/ar-BB1i8KR9 . What is more surprising rather unfortunate is that these elections were a farce where Imran Khan was in jail, his party banned from running under its own banner or even using its famous cricket bat symbol. as mentioned at https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/pakistan-election-results-2024-what-happened-in-pakistans-disputed-election-and-whats-next-5040690 . Moreover this happened and the leader of the free world the USA remained a passive spectator (not even a statement from White House may be due to the lame excuse that Imran Khan during his Prime Ministership accused the USA for removing his government by allegedly engineered no-trust resolution with money power of the USA by Imran publicly saying that "Mandi Lagi Hui thhi" (MNAs were on sale / auction with US money in market ) ] as if the protection of democracy in developing countries is none of the business of the USA.
How far the USA has become unconcerned about the functioning of democracy in Asia is evident not only from what the USA condoned above mentioned about 2024 elections in Pakistan but what USA Is condoning (not even a statement from White House against) what is happening in largest democracy India too where in the matter of farmer’s protest democracy is being murdered in India as reported at Indian police fire tear gas as protesting farmers march on Delhi .
Prez BIden ought to understand that in a democracy people have every right to protest / demonstrate peacefully hence these protesting farmers should be allowed by government of India (GoI0 (i)- To come to Delhi peacefully by allowing their march to be regulated by police so that farmers move in a line on one side of the road white leaving rest of the highways free for public for normal traffic and (ii)- To assemble at Delhi for demonstration at any place to be assigned / provided by the GoI with proper security, sanitation facilities, eating & drinking water facilities, first aid & ambulance facilities etc.
It is hoped the politicians of the USA , the incumbents of White House and Capitol Hill will realize their responsibility and without any further delay will endeavor to protect democracy in countries of Asia which are facing serious challenges from “authoritarian Chinese democracy” in the on-going cold war-II.
