Nawaz should urgently return from London even at risk of brief prison to avoid promised bloodshed during Imran's long-march in Islamabad. By Hem Raj Jain

Even before the long march (by former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party PTI) reached Islamabad where it was supposed to be converted into ‘dharna’ (sit-in) for demanding snap elections, Imran has threatened by his tweet that if snap polls are not granted there will be bloodbath by saying - ("The ocean of people is on G.T. road with our march - I am carrying out a revolution for the last 6 months. The only question is whether it will be peaceful through the ballot box or will be destructive through bloodshed") as reported at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXKzhPD9geg

No government can accept the demand of snap elections because the opposition is demanding these by accusing that the incumbent government is illegitimate (installed by the USA through engineered no-trust vote as alleged by Imran / PTI). Hence the Shehbaz government will also not accept this demand. But it is not the main reason that Imran is threatening the bloodbath in Pakistan in case his demand for snap poll is not heeded by the Shehbaz government. The main reason for this desperation of Imran are two simple facts:-

(i)- The Pakistan army has categorically said through its unprecedented press conference on Thursday (where in addition to DG ISPR even DG ISI appeared) to remain away from politics.

(ii)- Former PM and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif may return to Pakistan before elections for the National Assembly (NA) scheduled near September of 2023 as reported at   https://www.dawn.com/news/1703686 .

It is a matter of common knowledge in Pakistan that if establishment (an euphemism for Pak army) doesn’t support Imran (as it supported Imran in 2018 election for NA) especially if Nawaz Sharif comes to Pakistan and leads the 2023 election campaign of PML-N (the party of PM Shehbaz Sharif) then the chances of victory of Imran / PTI will be reduced drastically as mentioned also at

https://www.pakistanchristianpost.com/opinion-details/4036

No doubt if Nawaz Sharif immediately comes to Pakistan then he may have to spend SOME time in prison before he gets relief from the Judiciary.  But Nawaz has always kept the interest of Pakistan above his personal interest as is evident from the fact that he suffered the utmost pain & grief of not being with his wife on her deathbed (https://www.samaaenglish.tv/news/1545702 ) which he knew would be the case if he came to Pakistan to face the law but still he did it.

Therefore Nawaz Sharif (in the present situation where Pakistan is facing a horrible imminent threat of huge loss of lives and blood mostly of innocent people through the said bloodbath promised by Imran) should immediately come to Pakistan to lead not only his party the PML-N but also the country, in the interest of saving Pakistan from the said unnecessary & avoidable tragedy.

At the same time Shahbaz government shouldn’t commit blunder of invoking Article 245 of the Constitution because under Article 245 (3) High Court shall not exercise any jurisdiction under Article 199 in relation to any area in which the Armed Forces of Pakistan are, for the time being, acting in aid of civil power in pursuance of Article 245 (this will unnecessarily create problems and disaffection among the people) .

Therefore Shahbaz government should invoke Section 129, 130, 131 and 131-A of the Cr.P.C. to maintain law & order in case Imran / PTI disturbs it during long-march or Jalsa or Dharna in and near Islamabad. For this Shahbaz government should urgently ensure that the armed forces are in adequate numbers available to Executive Magistrates within a radius of 50 to 100 Kilometers.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jain sad that Pelosi’s statement about brutal attack on her husband is highly irresponsible and merely a formality

The US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (about the attack on her husband Paul Pelosi of age 82) has issued this public statement (which is widely reported in national and international media) that -  “A violent man broke into our family home, demanded to confront me and brutally attacked my husband Paul. Our children, our grandchildren and I are heartbroken and traumatized by the life-threatening attack on our Pop”.

What is shocking is not the brutal attack on Paul but the way it became possible. One can understand politicians in the USA including President Biden who have issued statements (showing sympathy with & good wishes for Pelosi & her husband) which are nothing more than a formality but would Pelosi enlighten the people why the house in which her husband lives has not been provided 24 x 7 security by security guards.

The attack on Pelosi’s husband is evidently due to political reasons which may always happen on any politician (or on his / her family members) especially regarding politicians who have such high position as Pelosi who is not only the Speaker of the House of the USA (superpower of the world)  but also the second in succession of Presidential office after Vice President.

Pelosi has every right to pursue such high public office in the USA but before that she should have ensured that her family members (especially those who do not live with her in her official residence in Washington D.C. where government is supposed to provide 24 x 7 security to the House Speaker) are well protected by 24 x 7 security.

It is hoped Pelosi at least now will ensure 24 x 7 security to her SUCH family memb
