Mr. Yoginder Sikand and Monograph on Scheduled casts in Pakistan: He appeals for information in research work from Pakistani leaders in general and Sindh minority leaders in Particular.

Mr. Yoginder Sikand is working with the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. On his recent visit to Sindh, he observed the pathetic conditions of the Dalits ( non-Christian and non-Muslim Scheduled Castes) living in that part of Pakistan and in parts of southern Punjab. Mr. Sikand Says “I also noted that there is hardly any literature available about them. Recently, the Academy of Third World Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, approached me to write a monograph on Dalits in Pakistan, and I readily accepted the offer”
He appeals “ I would be grateful if you could let me know if you have access to any literature on the subject (in English, Urdu or Sindhi), which I might find useful. I would really appreciate it if you could possibly take the trouble of posting me this material on the following address:
