On 3rd March 2016, at Kasur Brick kiln Olakh Bonga a young man named Mohammad Imran s/o Mohammad Ghafoor was murdered brutally by the manager of the Brickkiln owner named Muhammad Tufail Alias Pervaiz who slaughtered Mohammad Imran brutally and abducted Sonia who was recovered by the Police from the Brickkiln from the illegal confinement of Mohammad Tufail.
Fact Finding of The Voice Team:
The Voice team met the family of the victims, Mohammad Imran’s Father named Mohammad Ghafoor, His brother named Mohammed Rizwan andf Imran’s Sister Rubina Bibi. They told the Voice’s team the following facts:
Mohammad Imran was about 25 years old and was working as a Barber in Mohammadi- pura another area in Kasur district. Mohammad Imran eloped with a girl named Sonia who is also Muslim and brought her to the Brick kiln Olakh Bonga to marry her and to hide from her relatives until they get married. It is worth to mention here that Mohammad Imran’s first cousins named Mohammad Maskeen, Mohammed Sher and Mohammad Amin were working on this olakh Bonga as bonded labors. Whereas Mohammad Tufail had an eye on Mst. Sonia and he wanted to marry his son with Sonia which Sonia refused and demanded Mohammad Imran to leave the Brick kiln. Before they leave the Brick kiln, Mohammad Tufail called the couple in his office at Brick kiln and asked Imran to leave Mst. Sonia at the Brick kiln for Mohammad Tufail’s son and leave the Brick kiln. But Mohammad Imran and Sonia refused to accept Mohammad Tufail’s demand and insisted upon leaving, therefore Mohammad Tufail called his accomplices and tortured Mohammed Imran, and later they slaughtered his throat and killed him.

Sonia was abducted forcefully in the room, but when the cousins of Mohammed Imran reported to the police the police recovered Sonia from the illegal custody of Mohammad Tufail and after recording her statement sent her to Dar-ul-aman (Govt’s safe house for women). A case under section 320/34 PPC got registered in Police station Sadar-phoolnagar. The FIR number is 95/16. The Voice team met the family and assured them of all support and legal help they need to get justice for Imran and Sonia.
Important to know: This case has already been reported by some other organization who portrayed this Muslim couple as Christians, just to gain more sympathy and name in the west. However for a Human Rights activist Human Rights are for all without the boundaries of race and religion. We condemn this act of getting cheap publicity by publishing false stories like this.
