He was an average student from Youhanabad, but left studies due to family crisis and start working in a factory near to Youhanabad, but he has become a hero.
Akash Bashir S/o Emmanuel Bashir, 18, stopped a suicide bomber from entering the St. John Church on Sunday March 15, 2015 and sacrificed his life to protect worshipers.
"I saw Akash trying to get hold of a guy and then there was a big explosion," said eye witness.
The target of the bomber was the morning Sunday Prayer of approximately 1200 people, said Kashif Nawab,, Director Sath Pakistan
"He has left his family grieving, but has prevented many others from that fate," said his neighbors
"He was very obedient, hardworking and very regular in prayers, he was a bold child," said mother and father.
"Martyr (Shaheed) Akash’s brave act saved the lives of hundreds of worshipers,
Thousands of people thronged his home since the incident to praise his valor and to offer condolences to his family.
If it wasn't for Akash's act of valor and quick thinking, the results would have been catastrophic.
Akash is Pakistan's latest youngster to become a hero for standing up to terrorists.
We request Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Shahbaz Sharif to recommend him for the highest civil award (Son of Nation) for his bravery.
