I am Pastor Paul S. Nair. I was born in a Hindu Nair family in Kerala in India. My name was Sundaresan Nair. We had three temples for my family. I was doing poojas (form of worship by prostrating before idols and offering flowers and fruits as sacrifice) to the Hindu deities and worshipped many Gods and Godesses. But I had no peace and happy in my mind..
When I began studying the university, I was totally depressed and could never understand why I was depressed. I visited many Hindu Pilgrim places in search of peace. In college indulged all kind of pressures that my society had to offer. I started getting addicted to intoxicants. Though I tried to satisfy my senses with the treasures of this world there was a deep longing within me for something which I didn’t understand them. I got totally addicted to smoking and alcoholism and began to roam around like a lunatic person in search of meaning for my life. All my efforts to get some peace wherein vain.
One day I got a New Testament of the Bible from the college, which was distributing freely by Paul Ciniraj Ministries. I kept it among my books, but I didn’t want to open it. Day by day I feel emptiness in my heart and I was walking to end my life by jumping ino a river while going to the college
Suddenly I saw the New Testament Bible on the top of my books. I felt something attractive on it. I thought somebody is calling me from inside of the Bible. Immediately I opened it and read, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
After reading the words in the Bible I felt like I was standing in an air-cooled room after the attack of heavy hot in the body. That much peace…. an eternal peace I experienced. I approached an evangelist and he told me that the Lord Jesus touched me through His word. I accepted Jesus and my Lord and Savior. And was baptized in the water and in the Holy Spirit too.
After the conversion, I faced so many problems from my family and my friends. They became my enemies.
Yet I have decided to study Bible in a Bible college and dedicated myself to do ministry in different parts of India connected with Paul Ciniraj Ministries..
