Independence Day 14th August 2011. By Kaleem Saleem

Pakistan is one of the biggest Muslim states in the world today. Today is a day of patriotism, honor, respect, celebration and remembrance. We should observe the independence Day to remember our great national struggle and our great victory. It is a holy and auspicious day for us. Besides, this day reminds us our duty and responsibility for our country. On this day, we review what we have done during the year past. We think what we should do during the year beginning.
Suffering:
We do not know what we ought to pray and celebrate for, What, then, shall we say in response to these things? We are hard pressed on every side, crushed, perplexed, despair, persecuted, abandoned, struck down, destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death. while churches, homes and businesses have been ransacked, looted and burned. It has become frightful that we cannot express our ideas due to fear of death. We often find ourselves targets of vigilante violence. We are abused in public and harassed in streets,
We as Christian community, one of the most marginalized in the country, because its faith is strongly associated with Europe and America, extremists says.
There is nothing that Christians do that makes them guilty of blasphemy. The accusers make it up as they go along.
The whole Pakistani Christian Community has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth. Now no church receives such protection in Pakistan. We are worried we have become unprotected. There is a deficit of protection, especially in the case of the blasphemy law.
Day-to-day life is challenging for Christians in Pakistan. Christians are no stranger to the trappings of blasphemy law. Although many other countries have laws against blasphemy, the situation in Pakistan is unique in its severity and its particular effects on religious minorities. We're being persecuted in our homeland While extremists praise the murderers. Ruling Pakistani People stay silent and under pressure from fundamentalists.
Security forces and other government agencies did not adequately prevent or address societal abuse against minorities. Discriminatory legislation and the government's failure or delay in addressing religious hostility by societal actors fostered religious intolerance, acts of violence, and intimidation against religious minorities.
I speak the truth I am not lying, I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart for I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race.
As servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in sincere love; we’re dying, and yet we live on, that,
Independence what they already have, we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
