Pakistan, especially Punjab, is ruled by non Punjabis comprising Arabs, Uzbeks, Persians, Pathans. One can now include Kashmiris and Muhajirs as well. Muhajir community comprises two kinds of people. First type people originally belong to Middle East, Iran, Central Asia that came to India as invaders or migrated for better life. Second category includes people of Indian origin like Punjabis who mostly settled in rural areas after migration and their condition is similar to aboriginal Pakistanis. The rulers that are non Pakistanis live in urban areas and control economy of the country. They hold all important portfolios in bureaucracy, armed forces, politics, and judiciary. Look at the number of parliamentarians, bureaucrats, judges, ministers and people owning industrial umpires. None of them has origin in this land. They still think themselves superior class and treat locals as third class persons like Shudar. They don’t intermarry with the locals. They are the owners of mainstream press and electronic media. Media never raises issues relating to the poor, farmers and labourers. They continue projecting and downgrading the politicians to bring change in the government before time. Under such conditions how our country can progress and turn stable? There is disparity among the people and wide gap exists between rulers and the ruled that is dangerous. I think history will repeat and after some time it would be taken over by people belonging to central Asia or India with the support of US or any other foreign power.
