I WISH YOU EVERY IMAGINABLE HAPPINESS ON X'MAS AND THE MOST PRODUCTIVE 2002

By Stephen Gill.
We are lucky to be able to celebrate Christmas in Canada under the eyes of the laws which assure citizens freedom from the violations of human rights.

Not everyone is lucky in several nations where the animal of state-sponsored terrorism is at large. The massacres on September 11 in the United States and on October 28 in St. Dominic Church in Bhawalpur, Pakistan, while the congregation was praying, are interconnected. These massacres and several other assaults are warnings to freedom-loving people that the present century can be an appetizing banquet for this animal. The blasphemy laws and the separate electorate system in Pakistan have created a climate of tension and fear for minorities, particularly Christians.

The following poem that I wrote not long ago expresses my inexpressible feelings of hope that is a life jacket in the sea of the insane attacks by the beast of terrorism. Hope is the embodiment of peace and love:

HOPE

Through the cracks in the crumbling walls of now I grab particles of the dust from the diamonds of your shoreless abode of the fathomless bliss.
More than the sweet sobbing melodies the amaze of the amazing abode of your calm grace is to me. Your recollection tiptoes in the caves of my words and your sobering silence plays with the lips of my thinking.
