Some 200 Iranian demonstrators attacked the UK embassy in Iran on Wednesday. The rioters made an attempt to force their entry to the UK embassy in Tehran but the police foiled their attempt.

It merits mentioning here that despite the leading British media organization BBC's continuous coverage of the Muhammad cartoons' row it (BBC) it has avoided showing the images of Prophet Muhammad neither on its website nor in the video reports. The US secretary of State Condoleeza Rice alleged Iran and Syria were inflaming passions of Muslims over the issue of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad. "I don`t have any doubt that ... Iran and Syria have gone out of their way to inflame sentiments and to use this to their own purposes. And the world ought to call them on it," BBC quoted Rice as saying on Wednesday. The drawings first appeared in a Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten, in fall last year and were carried by many European newspapers recently to show their support for freedom of expressionA French magazine Charlie Hebdo becomes the latest to have reprinted the satirical caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad after winning a French court's backing on Tuesday. Terming the decisions to reprint the controversial cartoons as "overt provocation" the French President Jacques Chirac called for avoiding printing of any subject matter that could hurt convictions of people.
