KARACHI.(corp)Mr. Naeem Ul Zamman Khokhar, member co ordination committee, Pakistan Christian Congress, said that recent local body election are against the proportional to population of minorties in Pakistan.The allocation of one seat in any union,
He added that christians were already not having the proportional share in development budgets and this act of reducing their seats shall make the life more miserable for them without the basic facities of life like water, streets and medical facilities for them.
Mr. Khokar said that any millitary or elected government in past have not so acted against minorties.He damanded more seats for minorties in local body elections and rights to contest for the seats of Nazim and Naib Nazim. He appreciated the elections under seprate electorate and condemend such element working against the seprate election system.
Commenting on election system he said that its seprate election which have provided a miorty candidate to represent them and they have thier voice in democratic institutes. He said the Muslim representitives under joint election never cared about minorties and only used their vote bank to strength. PCP
