Lahore: Anwar Masih was arrested on November 28, 2003 by the Shadhra police under section 295 B & C PPC of blasphemy laws on a complaint lodged by a Christian convert Muslim, his now name Naseer Ahmad, who was visiting his Christian mother in Paracha

During religious dialogues between Anwar Masih and Naseer Ahmed in the street of Paracha Colony, Nasser Ahmed started shouting to gather the neighboring Muslim resident and blaming that Anwar Masih have defiled the name of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) The Muslims in the vicinity gathered in hundreds and marched to ward home of Anwar Masih. They attacked and damaged the property and assaulted the family member of Anwar Masih. Attaullah and Younas Salfi, the other 2 Muslims living in Paracha colony forced Anwar Masih to become Muslim who gathered first on shouting of Naseer Ahmed "He has defiled the name of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)" The investigating police officer in this blasphemy case, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Sub Inspector, Shadhra Town Police station, registered case and arrested Anwar Masih, but refused to make any comments on the arrests of the Muslims attacking the house of Anwar Masih. The Shadhra Town Police also refused to talk on the procedures set forth for registration of blasphemy charges against any individuals which clearly say that a committee under Commissioner of the district shall listen to the Muslim and Christian leader's argument as fact finding to order the police to charge the accused. It's learned that Naseer Ahmed has personal enmity with the family of Anwar Masih and he accused Anwar Masih under blasphemy to take revenge.
