An affidavit was presented in the court on behalf of the boy which said he had changed his name to Shoaib Sheikh and was no more Kanhyalal. He was brought under police escort and left with them. The minority women said that they had contacted Saleem Khurshid Khokar former member of parliament and president of Sindh Chapter of All Pakistan Minorities Alliance but he had not reached Hyderabad. The mother alleged that her son was kept under hostage and demanded from authorities to allow her to meet him.
