KARACHI: October 22. The fears of Christians came true today that police is allegedly hesitating to arrest the Muslim militants terrorists who attacked and b killed 7 Christian employees in the office of Christian NGO Justice and Peace in the broad d

The Christian leaders have demanded the resignation of the interior minister of Pakistan on firing and teargas shelling on the burial rituals of seven martyred Christians and pressed upon to lodge the FIR against the policemen present in the vicinity of Rimpa Plaza where the office of Justice and Peace situated on seventh floor with dozens of other offices of Muslim businessmen. The families of the martyrs were threatened to keep silent by the authorities and the only survivor of this incident Robin Piranditta was taken under protective custody that was also seriously injured by the terrorist attacks. But Pakistani police on Tuesday laid murder charges against the survivor of the September 25th terrorist attack on this Christian-run welfare organization here. Seven Christian workers of the Idara-e-Amn-Insaaf were slain in the attack that was carried out by two armed men. According to the police, Robin Piranditta has been their biggest hurdle in the investigation. They claim he deliberately gave them wrong information about the assailants and the events leading up to the execution-style killing of his office colleagues. The suspicion of the police was first arouded when Robin Piranditta gave them two separate accounts of what happened on the day of the attack, they said. Both his versions were filled with inconsistencies and collapsed when held up against the prism of logic, they added. The relatives of Robin Piranditta dispute the charge of murder and claim that he is being framed--a view that is shared by most human rights activists in the country. Piranditta, who was working as an errand boy at the Idara office, has been in police custody for the past four weeks. He is currently being held at the Saddar Investigation Center.
